Security for HSR Layout homes, rental floors, PGs and startup offices

Much of HSR Layout is independent buildings with several floors let out separately, alongside PGs, co-living houses and small offices near 27th Main and the Outer Ring Road. Shared entrances and many occupants are the common thread.

The usual question in HSR is not how many cameras, but who should see and open what. An owner living on the top floor wants to see the gate. Each tenant wants their own door and doorbell. A PG operator wants an entry record and door codes they can change remotely when residents leave.

We design these buildings so the shared parts are covered once, and each floor or tenant gets access that is theirs alone.

Security systems in HSR Layout, Bangalore

Common HSR Layout setups

Owner-occupied buildings with rental floors

Gate and staircase cameras for the owner, one outdoor door-phone panel with a button per floor, and a smart lock on each flat.

PGs and co-living houses

Entry cameras, smart locks with individual codes, and remote management so codes can be cancelled when a resident moves out.

Startup and small offices

Access control, a tidy network rack, Wi-Fi and entrance cameras that can grow with the team.

Gyms, cafés and small retail

Entrance and counter cameras with phone viewing for the owner.

What we plan for in HSR buildings

  • Which occupant needs to see which camera, and separate logins for each
  • A door-phone layout that matches the number of floors or rooms
  • How access codes are added and removed as tenants change
  • Wi-Fi coverage for smart locks and door phones on every floor
  • Cable routes in buildings that were not wired for security

HSR Layout: questions we get asked

Can each tenant see only the camera outside their own floor?

Yes. Users can be given access to selected cameras only, while the owner sees everything.

Can I change PG door codes without visiting the property?

With app-connected smart locks, yes. Codes can be created, time-limited or cancelled from your phone.

One door phone for a building with four floors?

Yes. A multi-button outdoor panel calls the right floor, and each floor gets its own indoor monitor or phone notification.

We are a ten-person startup. Is a proper network rack worth it?

For a small team, a compact wall-mounted rack with a firewall, switch and Wi-Fi is usually enough, and it is far easier to expand than a tangle of home routers.
